Friends are like trees, did you know that?
There are friends that are leaves,they were only destined to be stick around for a couple of weeks,6 months or 2 years maximum.Then fall off. There are friends that are twigs on a tree and these friends will be present in good times and if lucky, one or two bad moments in your life and then... break off! However,there are friends that are the roots of a tree.These friends are the foundation of the tree.These friends love you when everyone else hates you,cry with you when you in moments of sorrow ,laugh with you in times of happiness,Fight with you in difficult stages of your life,tell you the truth when you go wrong, clap for you when you get it right,encourage you to be and do your best.Smile when they look in your eyes.The only thing is, these friends you can only count them by one hand.They are very expensive so you cannot afford too many.So give what you receive to the roots.It works both ways.The provider of the roots is the seed which is Jesus Christ.He destins certain people to be a part of your life, and allows to you to make the choice of who you want to keep and cherish as a friend.If you are filled with love and compassion in your heart he will allow you to have permanent roots.
